July 24, 2012

Greetings from West Virginia,

Last Saturday, a team of nine headed out on I-80  for a great adventure.  It was a long drive to Chillicothe, OH but we made it in fine shape.  Stayed in a motel and the next morning, headed out for a two hour drive to church in Charleston.  I understand it is one of only four LCMS churches in West Virginia.  Then two more hours of driving through the beautiful WV scenery to Lewisburg, WV.
Our team along with Deanna Cheadle, Deaconess, who is working with us on this mission outreach, went to Christ Our Savior of the Valley Lutheran Church in Lewisburg.

It is a new mission church that started in Pastor Richard and Judy Lohmeyer's home and now the congregation is meeting in a 'store front'.
We tried on our costumes for the upcoming skits that we as a group would be doing for the Day Camp. It has been a great first two days of sharing the love of Jesus.  Check out the photos...... (to be continued:-))
