Off we go leaving family and busy hectic lives to go and serve in West
Virginia. What will we encounter? Will that meet our expectations? We
talked in our team meeting tonight about being a servant and what that means.
We're going to be following along with the disciples in the gospel of Mark in our evening devotions. Like them, Jesus has called us to "follow Me". They did without hesitation. Our prayer is that we will be willing
to do whatever God asks of us.
Some God sightings that we saw today:
- Enterprise giving us a minivan for the same price as a full size car so that
space for all of the school supplies and health kits was not a problem Thank
you Lord!!
- Stopping at the gas station and the attendant asking about our shirts...
His body language spoke of his real interest in what we had to share with him.
- At the restaurant tonight when we asked the waitress what we could pray for
her- her whole face lit up that we would pray for her and her family. (Three
teenagers)
- Being blessed to have neighbors that call and leave a message asking about
our open garage door at home.
- Other friends, after seeing that they were still up and on facebook, were willing to drive over and close our
garage door for us - Christian love in action!
Yes the Lord God almighty is with us on this trip!
